Ethernet disconnected error on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS but LAN is connected and working on Windows 7

In my Desktop I have Ubuntu 16.04 LTS installed along with Microsoft Windows 7. On Windows 7 the internet through LAN completely works fine but on Ubuntu it doesn't. Every time I boot into it says "Disconnected. You are offline". But it shows wired connection 1 as connected.
There is another thing related to this issue. When I was using Ubuntu earlier, many times the internet worked without any problems, but now it doesn't at all.
I am a completely new guy in the world of Linux and Ubuntu and I have tried many answers available on the internet related to this for the last three hours from my end but nothing worked.
I have tried changing the network config files and other related files but no result came.
For once I was able to ping my router but after some time it also stopped.
