It seems to happen more often when I wake up my computer from sleep. I am still able to open apps from the search menu, including htop, but I'm not sure what to look for there. I've tried searching around for other people with this issue but I haven't been able to figure out the right thing to search.
I've had this issue for about a year now and its one of those things that is really frustrating when it happens and I am motivated to fix it, but it only lasts about 2 minutes at most and then goes away for days without really getting fixed. I usually open a bunch of terminals and eventually they all pop to life at the same time.
Here is the result of dmesg shortly after the hang (I'm not exactly sure when it started/stopped hanging)

I've had this issue for about a year now and its one of those things that is really frustrating when it happens and I am motivated to fix it, but it only lasts about 2 minutes at most and then goes away for days without really getting fixed.
