Ubuntu 18.04 on an HP Notebook goes into airplane mode when I close the lid and then open it. That disables WiFi; the next time I close-and-reopen the lid, airplane mode goes off and WiFi enables again. How do I use power management to keep WiFi on?

  • you need to keep wifi active. there is a setting for this in settings See "power" section

  • Does your system suspend or hibernate when you close the screen?
