I've already used Qt4/Qt5 fs-archiver with Xubuntu/Ubuntu 16. However, since i upgraded to 17.10 i always get the same error message when i start to make a whole disc image as backup. I use an ASUS TP 300 and i have some windows partitions. My HDD has a capacity of 1TB and the gzip compressed image is expected to have about 400GB size. I use an usb stick with a live version of qt5 fs-archiver to be able to backup system partitions. When i start the disc image backup, i get the error message saying "Schreiben des Abbildes hat nicht funktioniert" which translates in english to something like "Storage of the image could not be achieved". The counter for the time the backup is running shows 4 sec and keeps staying there.
When i immediately try to start the backup again, qt5 fs-archiver shows no error message but it obviously does nothing and the counters stay at zero.
When i close qt5 fs-archiver and start it again and start the backup again, i get the same error message.
The qt5 archiver mounts all partitions on start. After getting the error i tried also with manually unmounted partitions but i get the same result.
As beeing said, i already made hdd images with qt5 archiver, before. I have three images from some time ago and i was able to restore them. However this time i do not get around this persisting error message.
Do you have some suggestions about the cause?
I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!
