I have been playing around with multiple distros recently and stumbled across an issue when installing a flavor of linux. After having installed a couple of distros then uninstalling on the latest install the grub didn't appear. just went straight to windows. I messed around a little with the bios and still could find the issue. I tried entering the distro through the advanced boot option in windows and again despite clicking Ubuntu it just prompted boot option unavailable and then continued into Windows again... Any help ?
boot dual-boot grub2 uefi

What brand/model system? Some only let you set default to "Windows Boot Manager". And use of description as part of boot is not allowed by UEFI standard, but since more than one vendor may have someone promoting that. There are many work arounds depending on configuration. Sony, HP & others workarounds: askubuntu.com/questions/486752/â¦
