I was installing Kubuntu 18.04 on an new SSD -
All installation-procedures worked until the moment where grub hat to be installed. This failed.
It was not possible to add any comment in the window what was opening!
It was also not possible to read again the failure-message in this or besides this window!
I anyway klicked on send but now dont know if the email was sent! - since even this was working in the invisible BACKGRÓUND!

THIS IS not really helpfull!

How can I proceed to avoid another failure?

  • UEFI or BIOS install? Full drive or dual boot? Brand/model system? May be best to see details, you can run from your Ubuntu live installer or any working install, use ppa version not older Boot-Repair ISO: Post the link to the Create BootInfo summary report. Is part of Boot-Repair: help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Info and: sourceforge.net/p/boot-repair/home/Home
