The vector graphics editor ipe stores .ipe
files. When installing the package ipe
from Ubuntu's repos, ipe (afaik) can't be launched from the dash and its files aren't by default opened in ipe.
I created a file ~/.local/share/applications/ipe.desktop
with this content:
#!/usr/bin/env xdg-open
[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Name=ipe
Exec=ipe %F
Keywords=ipe;drawing;design;designing;pdf;latex;vector graphics;
Then, ipe appeared as an option for opening files in nautilus when right-clicking a file and choosing Properties â Open With. However, whenever I select ipe and click "Set as default", the default immediately changes back to "Firefox Web Browser".
.ipe
files are XML files. They start with:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE ipe SYSTEM "ipe.dtd">
How can I change the default application for .ipe
files to ipe?
16.04 nautilus files default-programs ipe
