I tried different outputs and different headphones and speakers. I Already reformatted the computer twice and reinstalled the audio drivers. I tested different frequencies in the playback Tab. What happened? there is still no sound. I think I might have to buy a new computer because the sound isn't working. HELP!

  • Which Ubuntu release are you running. What does the settings (gear icon in launcher)/sound say for output? What does the lspci command (from in a terminal ) list for an Audio Device?
