How to connect two SFP ports on an Intel board using Ubuntu server?

I want to send traffic on an SFP port (port1) and receive traffic from an other port (port 2) using Ubuntu 16.04 server installed on a Intel board (it's a demo not already in commerce). I'm using a traffic analyzer (MT1000A Anritsu).

I want to know

  • if there is a way to link these two ports together with some specific command (I'm not interested in layer 3 IP, I want to work at layer 2)?

  • if maybe it is possible by using a Linux bridge to create a connection between the two ports and the external analyzer?

I want to inject 10Gb of traffic in the port 1 and to measure 10 GB in output of port 2. I switched the ports up (they result UP if i do ifconfig), but if I send traffic, I see nothing.
