Unable to connect to internet (wired as well as wireless) in boot-repair

I installed kubuntu but when I restarted my computer it took me to grub rescue. I made a boot repair disk but I am unable to connect to internet in any way and it says if I continue without internet System will remain unbootable. Plz help.
