I have a new i7-8700k pc w/ nvidia 1060 and while the install went fine and worked perfectly after I rebooted into ubuntu for the first time (18.04 desktop) the lock screen is so badly unresponsive its basically frozen. I ctrl-alt-f2 and things look normal in htop. I did some other tests with the hardware and dont think its hardware related. Basically anything I do on the lockscreen takes 30 seconds to respond.
