I installed the wordpress app on my system and then tried to do an upgrade and this error comes up with anything I enter into the terminal.
E: The package wordpress.com needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.

Why can't your system find the package you used to install, or the source it came from? How, exactly, did you install Wordpress?

I used the manual install for .deb package and installed via the software install. No idea why this has happened.

What is the output ofapt policy wordpress? (Mind you, this may turn up an older version of Wordpress that it is not recommended to install.)

wordpress: Installed: (none) Candidate: 4.4.2+dfsg-1ubuntu1 Version table: 4.4.2+dfsg-1ubuntu1 500 500 zw.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe amd64 Packages 500 zw.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe i386 Packages

The reasonaptdid not find an archive may have been thatzw.archive.ubuntu.comwas not available at the time. Try again, perhaps ping the server, or change to a different mirror. However, this will still install version 4.4.2 which is a bit old, and in any case Wordpress consists of text files only. Just download the .zip file and unzip it to a directory on your website.
