I have a dual boot and when I open Ubuntu it opens to BusyBox at this black screen.

I have tried to get through but have been unsuccessful. I am trying to fix it without losing my files.

  • The root filesystem on /dev/sda5 requires a manual fsck is the error message you received, so try that first and comment about the results. Maybe the fsck program will tell something after running it about if it found inodes that were part of a corrupted ophan linked list again.
