the left part of my LCD is broken due to failed LCD bonding. With xrandr (xorg) there was an option to resize the desktop via a virtual screen. Is there a similar option for wayland?

Thanks in advance.

  • Why not just choose Xorg session instead? Xorg is going to be default in 18.04 LTS anyway.

  • From what I know only because of LTS Version. 18.10 will be Wayland again.

  • maybe, but the we have to hope that they have fixed the problems in Wayland. Any way, Xorg will still be an alternative for many years to come.
