I am using Ubuntu 14.04 for 4 months. And I had to reinstall the whole OS 4 times already within this short period, for each time after working fine for a month at most the systems starts crashing and shutting down whenever I connect headphones, external hard drives or wireless mouse. The same thing happens if there happens to a power cut while the charger is connected to the machine. And until and unless all those things are disconnected the machine refuses to start. This problem happens just in ubuntu. Everything works fine in Windows. So if anyone could give me any suggestions behind the reasons of this unusual behaviour, it would be very helpful.
