Getting Black screen in ubuntu 17.10

I am trying to downgrade my version from 17.10 to 16.04,I tried both by Live CD as well as USB bootable but in both case,after click Install Ubuntu or Try Ubuntu it completely hangs up on blank black screen,what should i do to prevent this?
