I'm currently working on a dissertation project - Evaluation of VoIP QoS.
I've encountered issues when trying to route audio (A WAV recording) to my mic.
What I want to do is use my WAV audio recording during all my phone calls instead of speaking directly into the mic. As there will be a number of calls it would be best if I am able to use the one WAV recording for testing purposes.
I have seen tutorials that say to use pavucontrol, jack etc but it doesn't seem to work. Is there a program that as soon as I begin a call I can, for instance, click play and it will route the audio to the mic which as said above replace me speaking directly into the mic.
For Evaluation of VoIP QoS I have a VM environment with:
- Ubuntu 16.04 x2 (Named Sender and Reciever respectively)
- Ombutel PBX
- Ubuntu Server 16.04.3 LTS (Acting as a Router)
- Ring GNU softphone (Installed on ender and Reciever respectively)
Any helpful advice, tutorials, videos etc would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
