  • What if I accidentally run command “chmod -R” on system directories (/, /etc, …)

  • Set myself as owner of /etc with chown command now getting all kinds of errors [duplicate]

I have Accidently changed the user of /var/lib to user ubuntu in my AWS Server, and now php sessions and phpmyadmin are not working.

I used command :

cd /var/lib
sudo chown -R ubuntu .

Please help how should I get back to earlier users permission to folders which was set.
there are many folders and there is last option that I can create another EC2 Machine and then cross check which folder had what permissions and to which user then set manually.
Or any other options please to get the default user permissions set?
