I have a bad color transition (anti-aliasing) on images where one color transits to another (like gradients); shadows, overlays are also affected on Ubuntu 17.10 (has the same issue with Ubuntu 17.04), which you can see on screens below. I've tried to install nvidia proprietary drivers, while deleting nouveau, intel drivers (through intel graphics tools), tweaked gnome settings. Switched between intel graphics card and nvidia GPU, and nothing helped.

  • Welcome to Ask Ubuntu! You are using a very creative definition of antialiasing. You might want to chose a different word.
