Sorry could not find a PTY

I am facing this error when i am trying to run the following command:



screen /dev/ttyUSB0 115200 cs8

Sorry, could not find PTY
[screen is terminating]


May i know the reason why this is happening...



Tried all the possible solutions found in the internet like



chmod 666 /dev/pt* 


and



mount devpts /dev/pts -t devpts -o mode=620


Permission is already set and pts is already mounted.



Thing is it was working before...



Can anyone tell what is exactly happening?
