Screenshot hangs

I lately realized that taking a screenshot in Ubuntu 17.10 lags. It seems to take 2-3 seconds if I press "druck" on my keyboard. No delay is set in the gnome-screenshot tool.
If I run for example (or even more repetitions) date && gnome-screenshot && date && gnome-screenshot && date && gnome-screenshot -w && date && gnome-screenshot -w && date && gnome-screenshot -w
it leads to this (newest) screenshot:
This seems like taking a screenshot of the whole screen takes realy about 2 seconds and only taking a screenshot of the window takes about 1 second.
A problem is that it realy waits about 2 seconds until the screenshot is taken - it would not be a problem if it would take 2 seconds to save the picture until taken, but it takes 2 seconds to just begin capturing the screen.
I am using nearly latest kernel (4.16.0-041600rc7-generic) with a RX 480. Is this happening to people using other graphic cards as well? Is there any workaround / way to further debug this issue?
