But of a noob with Ubuntu so bear with me.
I have my local WinServerâÂÂs IP in my NICs DNS config but it isnâÂÂt working.
Ping yahoo.com -> CanâÂÂt find server
nslookup yahoo.com winserverip works
/run/resolv.conf has nameserver 127.0.1.1 listed
I changed that to
Nameserver winserverip
And I was able to resolve domains. Resolv.conf warns you at the top that the changes in this file will be overwritten.
So whatâÂÂs changing resolv.conf to point to a loop back up?
Thanks,
-John

If you put your entries in/etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/original
thenresolvconf -u
will update them into/etc/resolv.conf
automatically.
