Back in 2015 Ubuntu developers were criticized for their handling of Secure boot:
https://www.pcworld.com/article/3026346/linux/ubuntus-secure-boot-support-isnt-secure-and-threatens-even-windows-pcs.html

There is an entry in bug tracker related to the topic; now it says that package "grub2 - 2.02-2ubuntu1" brings some fixes, so upcoming Ubuntu 18.04 should behave better in this regard:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1401532/comments/25

Could someone explain what was changed and will it somehow make an Evil Maid type of attack more difficult?
