I'm having a lot of trouble getting a good internet connection in Ubuntu. I just updated to version 18 but previously I was running version 17, and with version 17 I was having the same problems.
Initially on boot I have a more or less strong signal but after maybe 20 minutes or so I start getting drops in the connection. I have updated installed the driver for my adapter. I disabled ipV6 and disabled power management, and written a cron
script to turn off power management. Even with all this the problem still persists.
Also, when I open network management it's not showing all of the wifi connections that are available. At the most i only see the one connection at a time.
