Can't render games properly

For some reason I cannot render the textures used in games properly. The 2 main games I have tried are Stellaris and League of Legends. For some reason, when I do a fresh install of LoL using this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflinux/comments/5ukgur/a_revised_guide_for_installing_league_of_legends/
I can render games again. However, this only persist until I reboot my PC. As soon as I restart my PC I go from high quality textures and 80+FPS to forced low-res textures and 5-7 FPS.
I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 and I'm using a GTX 1060.
