Ubuntu 17.10 - Long delay after opening lid Macbook Pro (11,4)

I've had this problem for awhile, where when I close the lid on my Macbook Pro and then come back later to open it, it will take a good 30 seconds before the screen turns on. I usually have to click or press some keys before it will even think about doing it. Does anyone have a solution to this? I'm on kernel 4.13.0-37.
