I have Acer laptop with HDD and mSata SSD.

I can't set SSD as boot device (BIOS didn't see SSD), so the first and only boot device is HDD.

First, I install Windows 10 on HDD.
Second, I install Ubuntu on SSD.
And all works fine (dual boot) until now - HDD is crash so I need replace it.
But loader installed on HDD (I think), so when I change HDD to another - I can't boot Ubuntu.

And question is: how I can replace HDD and save Ubuntu in current state?

  • UEFI or BIOS. Even if HDD not correctly shown, this will tell us about configuration on SSD. May be best to see details, you can run from your Ubuntu live installer or any working install, use ppa version not older Boot-Repair ISO: Post the link to the Create BootInfo summary report. • You have grub installed to both sda & sdb. You should be able to select sdb to boot Ubuntu. But if Windows 10, you may just need to use Boot-Repair's advanced mode and install a Windows type boot loader to sda. And see it Windows then boots. You can also use your Windows installer or repair disk with repair console and run fixMBR.
