Macbook 11,3 and Ubuntu 18.04 - Mic from EarPods doesn't work

Internal mic works fine, but when I plug in an EarPods earphone, its mic doesn't work, but the sound is still captured by the laptop.
How can I enable the mic from the EarPods only?
