I am new to Open Source Software.
How can I go about developing on an already existing software. In my case, the gnome-language selector. How can I get the source code and how can I submit changes to such packages?

Like, is there a procedure for, "this software is good, but I want to help it better", where can I enter its name, download the source code and start contributing? In this question, I am not really talking about the Ubuntu or Linux system itself, but about software that comes with it.

  • I think you should ask at the Gnome web site in order to participate in the development of Gnome software. Good luck :-)
