Ubuntu 16.04 Headphones not detected Acer 5739G Laptop

The headphone works if I use pulseaudio (pavucontrol) to switch between headphone and internal speaker.

However, it won't auto detect if I plug in the headphone.

Further more testing, it will auto switch if I plug half way in. If I put the headphone all the way in, it will auto switch back to internal speaker.
