How do I get the keyboard light to work in my MacBookAir7,2 (Ubuntu 16.04)?

I've already read a dozen forums regarding this, and tried them but none of them work. I've tried pommed, mactel, etc.
Please show me a step-by-step guide.
EDIT: Nevermind, I found a way!
EDIT 2: The top answer solved my problems.

If you found a way then either share it (preferred) or delete your question altogether so that the community doesn't face a "I had problem and solved it"-problem without any solution. You can easily post an answer to your own question. This is definitely not considered bad â just the opposite; it's helpful.

If you found a way then either share it (preferred) or delete your question altogether so that the community doesn't face a "I had problem and solved it"-problem without any solution. You can easily post an answer to your own question. This is definitely not considered bad â just the opposite; it's helpful.
