Completely remove matlab [duplicate]

MATLAB R2016a Uninstall

So I accidentally install matlab on my machine and now I when I try to uninstall matlab, it asks me for the location and it doesn't work even if I use correct path. Whenever I try to upgrade my machine, it just prompts me matlab screen for path and I am stuck.

I am using sudo apt remove matlab-gdf because I pressed that one
