I was trying to forward a port through my VPN using iptables but I couldn't get it to work and seem to have messed up my network connection in the process. Initially I was only getting 25% of my available bandwidth over my internet connection however I managed to fix that by disabling iptables however the lingering issue that I still have is that none of the ports are available over my LAN. I have SABnzbd, Sickrage and CouchPotato all running on my server but they are no longer accessible over my LAN. I also have PLEX running on my server which is accessible over WAN but not over LAN. I'm completely out of my depth with this and suspect I haven't provided enough information but if anybody could help guide me in trouble shooting this it would be greatly appreciated. I know I could reinstall Ubuntu and it would probably fix the problem but I would rather try to expand my knowledge and not go through the process of setting everything up again.

  • A new symptom I have just discovered is that there's a small window after the sytem boots when I can access ports but after a while they're all closed off again.
