i am facing an error in the windows control button, please see below screenshots, i have changed to other themes but did not work, this is only happening in the terminal, at other places but I have not yet found.

  • I don't know the answer but how about using Terminator instead, I like it better than the default terminal app anyway. sudo apt install terminator

Please read this bug report carefully to confirm you are having the same problem.



If so review all the comments. Of particular interest is comment #8:



sudo apt install gnome-icon-theme # fixes
sudo apt purge gnome-icon-theme # breaks


I don't have this problem using Unity on 18.04 LTS so I hope this helps you.

            What makes Checkinstall packages not suitable for distribution?

            Clash Royale CLAN TAG #URR8PPP up vote 2 down vote favorite I am planning to have multiple servers running with the same packages. And as a solution to not compile packages individually on each server, I want to use checkinstall to generate .deb and then distribute it via private repository. However, in the linked guide it says that it is not designed to produce packages suitable for distribution My questions are: What is different about this packaging, that makes it not suitable for distribution? Or what should be in the package, to make it suitable? Could there be any issues with using checkinstall and distributing packages to ~20 servers? Any advice or links where I can find out more appreciated.
