I am being bombed from a server that sends me an email every minute (to root) saying:
"The Samba 'panic action' script, /usr/share/samba/panic-action, was called for PID 9234 (/usr/sbin/samba).This means there was a problem with the program, such as a segfault. Below is a backtrace ..."
However, the samba system works just fine. I have three questions:
- I cannot find any solution to this issue by googling. What would you advise me to do?
- Considering that the issue is not compromising any functionality, how can I prevent the system from sending me these emails? These emails are addressed to root, and are then relayed by postfix to an external address via the google SMTP service. Can I somehow instruct postfix to avoid relaying any emails coming from "nobody", or containing the "samba panic"
