I have installed Skype on Ubuntu 16.04 64bit using:

deb [arch=amd64] https://repo.skype.com/deb stable main

When I start Skype, I automatically get logged in, but then
inside the Skype Window a white area appears, also if I try
to open the settings menu, the white area overlaps the settings
window and it is very difficult to close the settings window.

Below you see a screen shot, after I moved the mouse into the Skype Window.

Skype Window with white areas

On the top and on the left side, I pixelized the Users names.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks very much.
