i have this issue since Ubuntu 16.04, now I'm using Ubuntu 18.04.

I tried modifying my /etc/default/grub

But it didn't work

It happens when my laptop is suspended, when i wake up my laptop, i work normally and then if i want to restart or shut down it gets hang on in desktop and i have to force pushing the button. (I don't like doing this).

I suspect it is a laptop issue, because when i had a Toshiba laptop, it never happened.

Now i have an Asus K556U Laptop - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz

This is my /etc/default/grub file
