  • Error Updating: izx/askubuntu/ubuntu xenial Release' does not have a Release file

    1 answer

  • How can I fix a 404 Error when using a PPA or updating my package lists?

    8 answers

When I run this command: sudo apt-add-repository -y ppa:teejee2008/ppa I get this error.

E: The repository 'https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu bionic Release' does not have a Release file.
N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

If you open it up in a browser (dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/dists) you'll note no bionic folder, because it doesn't [yet] support 18.04. You should look for a ppa that supports 18.04 or Bionic (or be patient)

  • According to launchpad.net/~teejee2008/+archive/ubuntu/ppa, there's no conky-manager for any version later than 16.04.
