I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. I plugged my USB flash drive in and made a copy of things on it. I unplugged it, and when I plug it in again, it won't detect it.
I tried sudo fdisk -l and nothing changed. How can I fix the drive?

Are you doing a "Remove" in Nautilus or unmounting it as you should after first use?

Please edit your question and provide more details. Did you click on the Eject button or select Safely Remove before yanking the USB drive?
