I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. I plugged my USB flash drive in and made a copy of things on it. I unplugged it, and when I plug it in again, it won't detect it.

I tried sudo fdisk -l and nothing changed. How can I fix the drive?

Are you doing a "Remove" in Nautilus or unmounting it as you should after first use?

  • Please edit your question and provide more details. Did you click on the Eject button or select Safely Remove before yanking the USB drive?
