So this isn't particularly a question so much as maybe a little help for some people.
I've been having issues with my NVIDIA graphics card functioning properly on Ubuntu... I think I found the solution...
Before I was either using the x.org drivers and getting choppy video, or switching to the NVIDIA drivers and getting great video until the system froze and would then end up in a login loop and it was a pain to break the loop and restore the x.org driver so things would work again...
There were all kinds of answers about installing this or that, but no one seemed to be able to get CUDA to work and it went back an forth about how to do this or that and I never got anywhere.
Working on a completely different project I came across a link that took me here and it actually solved both of my problems.
Thought I would share.

You need to rephrase your answer within as a question into two separate parts: 1) Question detailing your nVidia problem(s) 2) Answer your question with how Jesus666 (the author in your link) saved your nVidia. After two days accept your own Answer as the correct solution to your own question.
