I wanted to install Ubuntu as dual boot with Win10 on my desktop, error-32 prevented running from the USB drive unless I use one of my USB 3.0 ports, just mentioning it in case 3.0 is relevant to this.

When I then boot in Ubuntu, my mouse lights go out and USB keyboard no longer works, there is no power to any other USB ports. In addition, my ethernet cable does not provide a connection, but it does recognize the cable exists, as it stops trying to connect if I remove the ethernet cable. All of these work both in windows 10 and on the laptop I installed Ubuntu on using the same USB drive yesterday. How do I resolve this?
