I was using AMDGPU-pro 17.10, decided to go for 17.50. the uninstall script that came with the packages seemed to uninstall correctly. Next i download 17.50 from the AMD website and attempted to install it. That's where the fun begins. It starts the process and then fails with this error.

$ ./amdgpu-pro-install

      tried to install dependencies, but apt and dpkg wont let me do anything,i just keep getting unmet dependancy errors, even when trying to install the .deb.

      Attempting to reinstall 17.10 gives me the same errors

      Dont really know where to go from here, what do you all suggest?

      I was using AMDGPU-pro 17.10, decided to go for 17.50. the uninstall script that came with the packages seemed to uninstall correctly. Next i download 17.50 from the AMD website and attempted to install it. That's where the fun begins. It starts the process and then fails with this error.

      $ ./amdgpu-pro-install

      You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these:

      E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

      tried installing amdgpu-core

      amdgpu-core is already the newest version (17.50-511655).
      amdgpu-core set to manually installed.
      You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these:
      The following packages have unmet dependencies:
      amdgpu : Depends: amdgpu-dkms (= 17.50-511655) but it is not going to be installed
      E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

      so tried to install amdgpu-dkms

      Get:1 file:/var/opt/amdgpu-pro-local ./ amdgpu-dkms 17.50-511655 [5,578 kB]

      So then i tried

       $ sudo apt -f install

      And i get

      so i check the logs at /var/dist-upgrade/apt.log
