Soundcard no sound xonar dg pci slot

I have Ubuntu 16.04.4 and kernel version 4.4.0-104-generic on a quad core tower computer. very stable, work fine.
I tried to connect the X o n a r D G sound card for weeks and there is no sound at the back of the card. I tried Q a s m i x e r stuff, nothing works. I want to use the digital output of this card to go with my sound system.
If somebody could help me , I would appreciate greatly. thank you
