I've installed Ubuntu 18.04 on my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro and I can't use the GNOME onscreen keyboard with the touchscreen!

It's very weird, because the touchscreen is working fine and the virtual keyboard gets the touch feedback (when I touch some key on the keybd, it lights up). But the keyboard doesn't output anything to the text areas.

To worsen it a bit: when I click the onscreen keyboard buttons with my mouse, the keyboard works as expected. Only when pressing the keys with the touchscreen that it doesn't work.

Anyone has any clue about it?

  • the gnome touchscreen keyboard is horribly broken, don't waste too much time on it.
