I had an old Lenovo Ideapad Z570 which had Windows 7 installed on it.
I wanted to replace Windows 7 with Ubuntu.

I installed Ubuntu 14.04 from a USB thumb drive. It did not identify the old Windows OS during the install. I initially selected the install option to use the entire disk for Ubuntu.
The install successfully completed without any issues, but the Laptop will not boot now.
The Bios shows the HDD available as a boot device, but it is not booting from it.
I can run Ubuntu using the "Try Ubuntu" option from the USB Thumb drive and it can see the HDD as a drive, with all of the Ubuntu files on it.

I have tried a number of additional installation attempts since and have messed about with the partitioning options available in the Ubuntu Installer and in GParted but still cannot get Ubuntu to boot.

I have run Boot Repair and the output is located at
http://paste.ubuntu.com/p/Z48Fry2QpF/

Any help would be gratefully received as Ubuntu runs very well from the USB thumb drive and I would love to be able to use it as my main OS on the laptop.

Thank You
Tony
