Found an unknown 250Gb drive so I attached it via an external USB enclosure. It showed up in file manager and I was able to browse it, but other than being some kind of Linux drive I didn't recognize it.
The drive is now disconnected but still shows up as browseable in file manager. However, my system drive no longer shows up under devices (not a problem but it's changed). My old hard drive, which is still in the system, shows up the same as before and is browseable. I have rebooted the system and everything works fine but why does a drive that is not connected show up in file manager and I am able to access the files?
My guess this is some sort of Grub issue but I'm not going to try to fix things until I have some idea what changed.
Thanks
I have attached a screen shot of the new drive in file manager
mount usb-drive
