I am using Ubuntu 16.04, Network-manager, and a privte vpn. Seems like a common desire to auto connect / reconnect to vpn, however, quite maddeningly for the past hour I can't find a simple solution and nearly wrecked my system. I have a vpn that I purchased. It connects fine. But when I go to Network Manager there simply is NOT an option to autoconnect the VPN available.. -anywhere-. I read numerous other posts, but none describe or fix my problem... below is a pic of what I see:

I have looked every where, but simply can't find a good way to simply auto connect my vpn any suggestions?
