After upgrade from 17.10 to 18.04 the ethernet connection is not showing in networks.

I tried this.

 $ ifconfig

TX packets 324770 bytes 41353378 (41.3 MB)
TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0

That means laptop is detaching the ethernet cable but not showing in networks. Wifi is working fine. I already tried number of solutions but not working in my case. Please Help !

  • Try booting with your previous kernel that 17.10 was last using. Should be in your Advanced Options menu in grub boot loader.
