Marketplace AMI from Community AMI

I need to build a marketplace AMI in ap-south-1 region. The underlying OS is Ubuntu 16.04. However, I can see that the Ubuntu Marketplace AMI for Xenial is not available in this region. Another option is to build it elsewhere (e.g. us-east-1) and then copy it over to ap-south-1. But Marketplace AMIs don't allow me to do that.
Now I am looking into community AMIs(verified from Ubuntu EC2 AMI finder).
I want to know is there any licensing restriction on building commercial products on community AMIs and selling them on AWS Marketplace?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
