I would like some pointers on adjusting my key board lay OUT. So my problem is full screen mode in Firefox browser; when I ask what key gets me out of full screen mode in Firefox browser, it has been unanimously answered f11 but my f11 (HP Notebook g6) is still fixed to the hp default as sound control (f9-,f10+,f11mute).
So I have no control to escape from full screen other than to control-alt-delete and log out.
So what are my alternatives?
I have been to keyboard tool in settings and I could program a key but can't find a way to figure out which key f-key or alt-key is not being used, so I can know what I can/should use. This is what I would prefer to do.
I am working a lot now on increasing my knowledge and skills in Ubuntu Linux and networking so I do not want to mess too much with the keys that will be important to me when writing code or working with files bash etc. But I am thinking when in terminal or compiler it won't matter?
In the end it doesn't have to be f11 as the system already uses the f9-f11 accordingly (to Hp lay out 4 sound) so I just need help figuring what key can i put it on and the proper way to do it.
And how can I find a copy of the keyboard short cut function list like appears whenever you do a fresh install of Ubuntu? I want/need for study aide.
Simple and clean,
Ubuntu!

You can exit full screen in FF if you move the mouse pointer to the top, right click, and "Exit Full Screen Mode".
